At the Bad River potluck last Friday, some folks decided to organize a bicycle ride to raise awareness and build positive momentous energy on the way to the Hurley Public Hearing regarding G-TAC’s submitted Bulk Sampling and Intent to Mine application.

There will be two hearings before DNR representatives, one at 10:00 a.m., and one at 5:00 p.m. in the Hurley Highschool in Iron County.

There will also be a rally at 9:00 a.m. at the hearing location in opposition to the mine, driven by locals in the Northwoods area.

Anyone interested in joining the bike ride should meet promptly at 5 am in the parking lot across from the Black Cat coffee shop, near the intersection of Main  and Chapple.

Anyone can register to testify, and currently newspapers have reported that the written public comment period is open until Sept. 3rd.
